Chelmsford, if you are doing the airshow don't bother to try and drive right to Bournemouth pier, there are parking restrictions and the traffic around the town will be heavy. Consider driving to Christchurch and get a 1b or 1c yellow bus from the high street which will take you to Bournemouth Square (just a short walk through the lower gardens from there to the pier) Looking a bit cloudy today, here is the programme if you haven't seen it-
Thursday daytime (approx. 2.15 4.30pm): Red Arrows (2.15pm) Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Hurricane and Spitfire Black Cats Dakota Twister Duo Tutor Hawk T2 Role Demo Team The Tigers Chinook
Thursday dusk displays (approx. 8.15 9pm): Red Devils Aerosparx OBriens Flying Circus & Fire Flies Twister Duo
Friday daytime (approx. 1.30 5pm): Red Arrows (3pm) Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Hurricane and Spitfire Tutor The Tigers Typhoon Patrouille Reva Twister Duo Hawk T2 Role Demo Team Dakota Black Cats Chinook Sally B The Blades
Friday dusk displays (approx. 8.10 9pm): Red Devils Aerosparx OBriens Flying Circus & Fire Flies Twister Duo
Saturday daytime (approx. 1 4.45pm): Red Arrows (1.45pm) Matadors Chinook Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Hurricane and Spitfire Hawk T2 Role Demo Team Sea Vixen Sally B Dakota MiG 15 Tutor Black Cats The Tigers Typhoon Patrouille Reva The Blades
Saturday dusk displays (approx. 8.15 9pm): Aerosparx OBriens Flying Circus & Fire Flies Twister Duo
Sunday daytime (approx. 1 4.45pm): Red Arrows (3pm) Chinook Hawk T2 Role Demo Team Sally B Black Cats MiG 15 Sea Vixen Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Hurricane and Spitfire Tutor Typhoon Patrouille Reva Dakota Matadors The Tigers The Blades

I do like Dorset
A walk along the Jurassic Coast always makes me feel much better but I am a bit of an undercover geology nerd on the side.
A bit of a shame that I never bumped into Dr Alice Roberts then :-)

One of my enduring childhood memories is of Cromer.
Was on the beech alone with my old man and bored out of my skull. So I noticed a family playing cricket and plucked up courage to ask if I could join in. The father said "No".
My old man told me off for talking to strangers.
Not a happy afternoon.

Norfolk sea is brown. Wade out to six inches deep and you can't see your feet.

I've seen what may be described as people in Norfolk - in broad terms.

Buzzy sounds like the sort of bloke who likes being wit swarms of people.
If you want desolate coastline, the North Lincs coast near Theddlethorpe is lovely, as is the Lincolnshire Wolds area. Then on the way back get some great fish and chips in Mabelthorpe, a sort of downmarket Clacton.....

Used to live in Norfolk for a few years, it's nice but Dorset tops it without a doubt IMO.
